What US College Actually Costs International Students
The sticker price is the same as US students. Here's what else you need to know.
Public Universities
International students pay the same out-of-state rate shown in any listing. Add ~$250–$500/year in international student fees and ~$2,000–$3,000/year for mandatory health insurance.
Private Universities
International students pay the same published tuition as US students. Add ~$2,000–$3,000/year for mandatory health insurance. International undergrads are typically ineligible for US federal aid.
One-Time Visa Costs
~$535 total: SEVIS I-901 fee ($350) + MRV visa application fee ($185). F-1 visa requires proof of funds covering full first-year costs (~$60K–$80K in bank statements).
