These Terms govern use of College Decoded, including collegedecoded.com and the College Decoded SAT/ACT Prep mobile app. By creating an account, subscribing, or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, your parent or legal guardian must consent to your use of the service. You agree to provide accurate account information, protect your login credentials, and notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
2. Permitted Use
College Decoded provides educational planning, test-prep, college search, scholarship, career, financial aid, and related tools. You may use the service for personal educational planning or, where your account type allows it, professional counseling or education support.
3. Prohibited Conduct
You may not misuse the service, attempt to bypass payment or access controls, scrape or resell data, reverse engineer the software, upload malicious code, impersonate another person, or submit false or misleading information. Resource-only counselor access may not be used to store another person's student records or personally identifiable student information.
4. Educational Information
College Decoded provides planning information and estimates. It does not guarantee admission, scholarships, financial aid, test scores, employment outcomes, or savings. Users should verify important decisions against official college, scholarship, financial aid, testing, and government sources.
5. Auto-Renewable Subscriptions
College Decoded may offer free and paid tiers. Paid plans unlock additional tools and content. In the College Decoded SAT/ACT Prep mobile app, Premium Monthly is an auto-renewable subscription. The app displays the subscription title, duration, and price before purchase.
Mobile subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store are billed by Apple to your Apple ID. They renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel Apple subscriptions in your Apple ID subscription settings. Apple may handle payment, cancellation, refund, and tax matters according to Apple's terms and policies.
6. Cancellation
You may cancel a subscription at any time. Access to paid features continues until the end of the current billing period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or by the platform that processed the transaction.
7. Payment Processing
Website payments may be processed by Stripe or another payment provider. App Store purchases are processed by Apple. We do not store full payment card numbers.
8. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is described in the College Decoded Privacy Policy. By using the service, you consent to the practices described there.
9. Intellectual Property
College Decoded content, software, design, logos, data compilations, and generated reports are owned by College Decoded or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service as allowed by these Terms.
10. Third-Party Services
The service may link to or integrate with third-party providers, including payment processors, analytics providers, authentication providers, educational data sources, and artificial intelligence tools. We are not responsible for third-party websites, services, or policies.
11. Account Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create risk for other users, misuse data, fail to pay fees, or use the service in a way that may harm College Decoded or its users.
12. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, College Decoded disclaims warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice through the service or by email when practical. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
